Introduction to SoundTouch

The SoundTouch package contains an open-source audio processing library that allows changing the sound tempo, pitch and playback rate parameters independently from each other.

This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-8.1 platform.

Installation of SoundTouch

Note

When extracted, the Soundtouch package expands into the directory soundtouch and not soundtouch-2.0.0.

Install SoundTouch by running the following commands:

./bootstrap &&
./configure --prefix=/usr \
            --docdir=/usr/share/doc/soundtouch-2.0.0 &&
make

This package does not come with a test suite.

Now, as the root user:

make install 

Command Explanations

--enable-openmp: This switch adds support for running the algorithms in parallel across several systems using the external OpenMP libraries.
