Introduction to Gtk VNC

The Gtk VNC package contains a VNC viewer widget for GTK+. It is built using coroutines allowing it to be completely asynchronous while remaining single threaded.

This package is known to build and work properly using an LFS-11.0 platform.

Installation of Gtk VNC

Install Gtk VNC by running the following commands:

mkdir build &&
cd    build &&

meson --prefix=/usr --buildtype=release .. &&
ninja

This package does not come with a testsuite.

Now, as the root user:

ninja install

Command Explanations

-Dwith-vala=false: This switch disables building of the Vala bindings. Add this if you decide to build gtk-vnc without vala installed.

Short Descriptions

gvnccapture

is used to capture image from VNC server

libgtk-vnc-2.0.so

is the PulseAudio bridge for Gtk VNC
